ISSUE SUBMISSIONS

Please carefully review the following guidelines. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be considers. Submissions should be emailed to therusteddaisymag@gmail.com with the following subject line adjusted to your submission:

[Genre-Nonfiction/Fiction/Poetry/Hybrid/Art] — [Your Name] 

Example: Fiction — Jane Doe

• Name your submission file “Genre – FirstNameLastName” For example, “Fiction – Jane Doe”

 

• Please make sure to follow the writing limits for each category.

Poetry - maximum of 30 lines.

Fiction and Nonfiction - maximum of roughly 5,000 words.

 

• Please submit all writings in pdf format (if you are having trouble or difficulties with this, please let us know and we may be able to accept the submission or offer help/guidance).
• All work must be in English.
• Please no graphic sexual content, graphic violence, or unnecessary themes and swearing. Keep in mind this magazine is for a wide and public audience.
• Please submit all artwork in the highest quality, in an easily accessible format.
• Hate speech, slurs, racism, sexism, homophobia, ect. will not be tolerated.
• Send only one submission for the Nonfiction and Fiction genres. Up to three submissions are allowed for Poetry and Art (you may submit work for each genre for the same issue).
• Simultaneous submissions are allowed. If your work is accepted elsewhere, notify us via email or Instagram DM as soon as possible so we can celebrate your success and withdraw your submission. Please include your name and the title of the submission in your message.
• We do not accept previously published material.
• We do not consider work created in full or in part by artificial intelligence (AI). 
• If you submit any derivative work (ekphrastic, found/blackout, works written “after” some existing inspiration), please include a link or copy of the source material.

 

We reserve the right to reject submissions that do not follow the guidelines as outlines.
